To celebrate our spirit and history, 86 members joined us at our summer camp,‘The Big Game’ from 1-5 January 2025 at Stanwell Park.
Our camp theme ‘Velyka Hra’. ‘the Big Game’ is a scouting focus on competitive games and activities that encourage teamwork, strategy, and fun, incorporating elements of outdoor adventure and challenges. And there was plenty of fun.
Novatstvo had lots of adventures in the wild, meeting local fauna with a visit to Symbio Wildlife Park, ponding to see life in our creeks and rivers and building a kite to experience life in the air. Novatstvo continued their 100 Year of Novatstvo initiatives using photography and journalistic skills to interview older members and document their experiences in Plast as a Novak. A time capsule was created with Novaky including objects of their life in Plast which will be a wonderful surprise for the next generation.
Yunatstvo continued their journey in scouting and badgework in bush first aid, sport and physical challenges. Taking to the skies, Yunatstvo faced their fears on the giant swing and high ropes and fulfilled their need for speed, go cart racing.
Camping was more glamping and all self-contained. This enabled our senior members and families to take advantage of joining in the fun and supporting with activities.
